Usina Colorado is among the three largest individual production units in Brazil’s sugar-energy sector. It exports to four continents: the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
It is the main company within Grupo Colorado in terms of revenue, job creation (both direct and indirect), and tax contributions. Its installed capacity allows for the processing of 7 million tons of sugarcane each harvest season.
To operate, the plant uses electric power generated from sugarcane bagasse. The two sugar-energy units of Grupo Colorado generate approximately 7,000 direct qualified jobs across industrial, agricultural, and administrative areas.

High-polarisation sugar produced by Usina Colorado to supply the international market.
Used as fuel in vehicles powered by ethanol;

Generated from sugarcane biomass through the combustion of bagasse. In addition to supplying the electric power required for Usina Colorado’s industrial operations, the surplus energy produced is sold to the national power grid.
