We’ve Brought Together a Team of Over 7,000 Professionals

The Companies
of Grupo Colorado
Are Built by People

Providing opportunities for growth and professional development for everyone is at the heart of Grupo Colorado’s business philosophy. It has always been part of our story to help people prepare to become successful professionals — individuals who are respected for their skills and recognised for their sense of responsibility.

Our people management is based on competence and performance, in line with our meritocracy culture.

Diversity

Women in the Company

The companies that make up Grupo Colorado offer equal opportunities, professional development, and greater autonomy for women. The Group’s goal is to increase the presence of women in roles that were previously held exclusively by male employees.

The company has been investing in training programmes that provide positions specifically for women, creating real opportunities for professional growth through recruitment processes conducted both internally and externally.

Inclusion

People with Disabilities

Grupo Colorado is committed to promoting more inclusive workplaces, harnessing the strength that comes from integrating people with disabilities (PwD) and allowing their skills and professional abilities to be fully expressed.

The company has been investing in training programmes that provide real opportunities for professional development, creating pathways for inclusion through recruitment initiatives both within and outside the organisation.

We Encourage Volunteer Work

To strengthen our ties with the community even further, the companies that make up Grupo Colorado encourage and support employees’ involvement in volunteer activities, donating their time and talents to meaningful projects that transform lives. Participation in these initiatives is entirely spontaneous and voluntary.

Health and Safety
are fundamental principles
for the workplace,
for the workplace, established by Grupo Colorado and deeply rooted in the culture of our companies. The on-site medical clinic monitors employees annually through regular health examinations to promote and preserve everyone’s well-being.

Through several health programmes carried out by the company — such as World Health Day, Viver Bem (Pink October, Blue November, Yellow September), and Viva a Vida (focused on Diabetes, Hypertension, and Overweight) — Grupo Colorado encourages employees each year to adopt a healthy lifestyle, undergo preventive medical check-ups according to their age group, and embrace positive behavioural changes to reduce health risks, improve productivity, and foster a supportive organisational environment.

What WeOffer Our Employees

Tasty and Balanced Meals

Employees at Grupo Colorado’s sugar-energy plants are served daily at the company cafeteria. Those working in the field receive freshly prepared lunches, dinners, and snacks, conveniently delivered in insulated meal containers. The meals are both tasty and nutritionally balanced, contributing to the health and well-being of our teams.

The cafeteria prioritises seasonal ingredients and follows strict hygiene standards in food preparation and service. A wide variety of meats, fresh vegetables, and greens are offered daily to encourage healthy eating habits. Ultra-processed foods are not part of the menu.

In addition to promoting good nutrition, the cafeteria also plays an educational role by raising awareness about reducing food waste.

Energia do Conhecimento Library

A space within the workplace that brings people closer to books — that’s the concept behind the Engenho do Conhecimento I and II Libraries, created by Grupo Colorado at Usina Colorado and Central Energética Morrinhos (CEM).

At the libraries, employees have access to books during working hours or may take them home to read at their leisure. A book delivery system also allows employees’ family members to borrow books free of charge. Many members use the space for study and personal development. The libraries are air-conditioned and equipped with computer terminals and internet access for research purposes.

The Engenho do Conhecimento Library, established at Usina Colorado, was the first corporate library in Brazil’s sugar-energy sector, inaugurated in February 2006, the birth month of the Group’s founder, Oswaldo Ribeiro de Mendonça.

The Engenho do Conhecimento II Library was inaugurated at Central Energética Morrinhos on May 6, 2014.

Credit Cooperative

Credcol is a credit cooperative that serves exclusively the employees of Grupo Colorado. Its main goal is to offer loans at interest rates significantly lower than market standards, while respecting each member’s financial capacity and promoting the cooperative philosophy among all participants.

In addition, the cooperative encourages members to save, rewarding them with 100% of the Selic rate on their capitalized balance, which can be redeemed under specific conditions established throughout the year. At the beginning of each year, Credcol also provides special credit lines to help with seasonal expenses such as vehicle taxes (IPVA), property taxes (IPTU), and school supplies.

The financial benefits offered are unique, ensuring that all members have the opportunity to benefit in a sustainable way that does not compromise the cooperative’s financial health.

Beyond that, Credcol maintains a strong social benefits programme, designed to improve quality of life, dignity, and mutual support among its members. Through this initiative, launched in 2021, Credcol has already supported over 1,000 people, offering subsidies to help purchase glasses, lenses, prosthetics, orthotics, wheelchairs, and hearing aids.

Looking ahead and following its cooperative principles, Credcol will offer financial education training to help members manage their personal finances more effectively, make balanced financial decisions, and make the most of the cooperative’s special credit programmes.

Today, Credcol is a source of pride for its 5,300 members, who share its history of growth and commitment. The cooperative continues to support families by providing the best financial products to help them achieve their dreams at the lowest possible cost.

Maternity Course

For over 20 years, Usina Colorado has offered a free Maternity Course for its female employees and the spouses of employees.

The course brings together a multidisciplinary team of professionals in Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Nutrition, Psychology, and Educational Psychology, who provide valuable guidance to ensure a positive and healthy experience for the whole family. At the end of the course, each expectant mother receives a maternity kit provided by Usina Colorado.

Christmas Gifts for Employees’ Children

Every year, Usina Colorado spreads joy among employees’ families by organizing a Christmas gift distribution for their children. The initiative strengthens family bonds and reflects the company’s commitment to care, appreciation, and social well-being.

More than just a festive gesture, it represents recognition and affection for all the families who are part of the Grupo Colorado community.

Ongoing Training

Colorado Driver Training Academy

The training programs offered by the Colorado Training Centre, headquartered at Usina Colorado, have been true agents of change in the lives of many people — helping to shape new careers and enhance résumés through officially recognized certificates that serve as a differential in the job market.

The Academy has trained thousands of professionals to meet the challenges of mechanized agriculture, one of the key factors driving the competitiveness of the sugar-energy industry. The Grupo Colorado’s agricultural properties serve as testing grounds for agricultural machinery and heavy vehicles, approved and validated by the main industry manufacturers.

The company actively participates in the technological development of mechanized operations and in the evolution of onboard vehicle technologies.

Operator–Maintainer Project

In 2016, Usina Colorado launched the Operator–Maintainer Project, which covers both the Agricultural and Automotive Maintenance Workshop areas. The project represents a work philosophy that strongly integrates aspects of management, operation, and equipment maintenance, implemented in partnership with EBA Consultoria.

This initiative combines theoretical and practical training, enabling operators to carry out basic maintenance tasks on their equipment and assist mechanics with preventive and corrective maintenance. All operators receive technical training to identify, correct, or report anomalies before they develop into equipment failures. At the heart of the Operator–Maintainer Project are the people.

The program actively involves operators in daily maintenance routines, empowering them to operate their equipment in accordance with defined operational procedures, complete checklists, and perform authorized maintenance actions — always with a focus on keeping equipment in optimal working condition. More than a training initiative, this project instills in employees a sense of ownership and accountability for the machines they operate, reinforcing the company’s culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Professional Qualification Program – Automotive

Ongoing since 2016, Usina Colorado, through professional training instructor Romilso Bueno, in partnership with the Management and Supervisory Teams of the Automotive Maintenance Workshop, has been working to strengthen the technical training and standardization of the Automotive Maintenance Team at the plant.

The program not only enhances the skills of the company’s current employees — ensuring that all team members share the same level of technical knowledge for fault diagnosis and repair — but also provides training opportunities for new employees who are beginning their careers in this field within the company
